The Cleft and Craniofacial Patient and Perth Children’s Hospital
This presentation will provide an overview of the types of clefts and other craniofacial anomalies experienced by patients visiting the Perth Children’s Hospital Cleft/Craniofacial unit.
Furthermore, some of the other interesting patients treated by Perth Children’s Hospital Dental Department will be covered
This seminar will seek to uncover the evidence and stimulate discussion around day to day techniques used in paediatric and operative dentistry.
Dr Gregory Celine is a specialist paediatric dentist who is currently employed full time in the Perth Children’s Hospital Dental Department as the Senior Registrar. He has a special interest in the treatment of medically compromised children, as well as being active in dental research. He obtained his undergraduate dental qualification from Griffith University and completed his specialist training at the University of Western Australia while playing an active role as a registrar at the Princess Margaret Hospital for Children and Perth Children’s Hospital.
Dr Michael Hurrell | Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical registrar
Dr Michael Hurrell
Michael is a senior oral and maxillofacial surgery registrar with the Western Australian training program.
He has completed degrees in both Dentistry (UQ 2008) and Medicine (UQ 2014), as well as a PhD in facial trauma management (UQ 2019).
He also worked as a general dentist for 2 years full-time in Darwin, as well as 6 years part-time in Brisbane.
