Does your “Steri” comply for accreditation?

Accreditation is a process Private dental practices can volunteer to undertake. It ensures that a dental practice has systems and processes in place to improve the safety and quality of care for patients. Following the AS/NZS 4815:2006 and AS/NZS 4187:2014 standards, along with the ADA guidelines on infection control, we will discuss the ideal sterilisation work flow and processing of instruments.

Managing stress in the workplace – dealing with the difficult patient

Learn strategies to manage difficult patients and disruptive situations.  Following Jungs theory, Kareen Dunlop will show you how to be assertive and remain a valuable and balanced team member.

The “Ideal” DCA.  Keeping abreast of new technologies.

The ideal DCA needs to fast, efficient, professional, have attention to detail and be a team player.  They should be able to follow instructions but also anticipate and show initiative. Moving with new technologies is an ongoing challenge for all practitioners and keeping your staff onside to embrace the changes can be challenging.  Digital radiography, digital scanning, 3D printing, digital treatment planning and communication will be presented.

Are you using or abusing your dental equipment?

Day to day care of high tech dental equipment can reduce the inconvenience and expense of an unexpected equipment failure. Hand piece maintenance and preventive care of other equipment will be presented.

A Certificate of Attendance will be issued at  the completion of each seminar.  In most cases this will be emailed

A tally of all CPD hours gained through EdgePD will be kept on file.  This is assist you in managing your CPD hours and reporting to AHPRA.
