It ensures that a dental practice has systems and processes in place to improve the safety and quality of care for patients. Following the AS/NZS 4815:2006 and AS/NZS 4187:2014 standards, along with the ADA guidelines on infection control, we will discuss the ideal sterilisation work flow and processing of instruments.

The ideal DCA needs to fast, efficient, professional, have attention to detail and be a team player. They should be able to follow instructions but also anticipate and show initiative. Moving with new technologies is an ongoing challenge for all practitioners and keeping your staff onside to embrace the changes can be challenging. Digital radiography, digital scanning, 3D printing, digital treatment planning and communication will be presented.
