Advanced Periodontal Instrumentation        

Use of Langer, Graceys, Mini Fives, Quentin, Orban Hoes and a variety of other debridement instruments will be utilised during this course.

This hand- on workshop will focus upon structured exercises USING VIDEOS AND INDIVIDUALISED DEMONSTRATION OF EACH TASK allowing the participant to compare and contrast instrumentation techniques utilizing a variety of hand instruments.

The design capabilities and limitations of manual scalers and curettes will be examined with adaptation to typodonts.

Discover the distinct differences in mechanical debridement strategies and techniques, and the ways in which this will enhance comfort for the periodontal patient.

Dr Julio Rincon    |    Specialist Periodontist

Following his undergraduate training, Associate Professor Rincon completed his postgraduate periodontal course in Periodontics in Colombia. He relocated to Australia and completed a PhD at Queensland University. Dr. Rincon is Head of the Periodontics Department at the School of Dentistry at the University of Western Australia and is in charge of both the undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

Please bring protective eyewear and wear work safe enclosed shoes.
